Cyprus Association of Social Anthropologists
The Cyprus Association of Social Anthropologists is a growing community of scholars, practitioners, and students who are from Cyprus, work in and on Cyprus, or engage critically with social, cultural, and political issues related to the island and the wider Eastern Mediterranean.
Our members work across diverse settings—from urban neighbourhoods and borderlands to digital spaces and diasporic communities, reflecting the plurality of anthropological practice in and beyond Cyprus and producing results in a range of media, including written texts, photography, documentary, art, and so forth.
The association is open to all social anthropologists qualified or working in or on Cyprus, either in academic environments or in applied anthropology. Our members work across diverse settings, from urban neighbourhoods and borderlands to digital spaces and diasporic communities, reflecting the plurality of anthropological practice in and beyond Cyprus and producing results in a range of media, including written texts, photography, documentary, art, and so forth.
